AgSolCo Ukraine, is a Ukrainian agricultural company, who partnered with HeavyFinance to bring sustainable farming practices to Ukraine. Together, we have launched a revolutionary soil sampling campaign aimed at improving soil health and advancing regenerative agriculture. This collaboration focuses on collecting soil data to support carbon credit generation and help local farmers transition to more sustainable farming practices.
Soil Sampling Campaign
HeavyFinance has launched a major soil sampling project across Ukraine, covering thousands of hectares to assess soil health. This initiative provides valuable insights into soil texture, organic content, and carbon sequestration potential, helping farmers identify challenges and opportunities for improvement.
Partnering with PLT Lab Ukraine, HeavyFinance uses advanced technology to accurately measure soil carbon content. The data collected will guide efforts to restore soil health and promote regenerative farming practices, supporting sustainable agriculture in Ukraine for years to come.
Focus on Desertification and Soil Depletion
The campaign is especially relevant for the southern regions of Ukraine, where desertification and extreme temperatures present significant challenges to soil health. Chernozem soils, once rich in organic matter, have suffered severe degradation, losing up to ten times their natural carbon content. HeavyFinance’s soil sampling campaign aims to provide the data needed to educate farmers on how to reverse this trend, restore fertility, and ensure long-term agricultural productivity.
Roman Osadchiy, CEO of AgSolCo Ukraine: “This collaboration with HeavyFinance is a game-changer for Ukrainian agriculture. It’s an exciting opportunity for our farmers to not only improve their soil health but also generate additional revenue through carbon credits. We are confident that this partnership will help drive the adoption of regenerative practices across Ukraine.”
