Use Cases
Carbon Farming Practices

01
Reduced tillage
Through reduced tillage and organic inputs, which helps build stable soil organic carbon and improve long-term fertility.

02
Reduced Fuel Consumption
More efficient equipment lowers fossil fuel use and field passes, further reducing the carbon footprint of farm operations.

03
Reduced Fertilization
Through precision application and organic alternatives, cutting nitrous oxide emissions—one of the most potent greenhouse gases.

04
Crop Rotation
Strengthens soil microbiology, reduces pest pressure, and naturally improves nutrient cycling.

05
Cover Crops
Protects soil between planting seasons, prevents erosion, and enhances carbon sequestration.
Carbon Sequestration through Regenerative Agriculture
“Regenerative agriculture has the potential to shift agriculture as a driver of land degradation and greenhouse gas emissions to a force for enhancing soil health and its interdependent ecosystem services, like carbon sequestration.”
Community
Meet the Farmers
The implementation of the Program has allowed a universal adoption of regenerative practices among participants with 100% of farmers practising reduced tillage and crop rotations practices, 70% of them integrating cover crops and 30% of them reducing synthetic fertiliser.
FAQ
01
Enroll
Upon joining you will have to provide us with some basic information on the fields enrolled in the programme.
02
Soil sampling
We use a system that randomly selects the fields that will be tested for their carbon levels.
03
Questionnaire
You will be required to complete a questionnaire about the fields enrolled in the programme.
04
Third-party audit
To ensure the credibility of our work together, a third-party auditor will review the project and conduct random field visits.
05
Verification
Once our carbon credits are verified by the appropriate international bodies, our team will sell them to the highest bidders.
06
Payment
Once the sale is finalised, you will receive your payment. The process will then be repeated regularly throughout our cooperation.
FAQ
01
Farmers earn by storing carbon in their soil through climate-smart practices. InSoil measures the carbon sequestration using the latest Verra VM0042 methodology, verifies it with third parties, and issues carbon credits. These credits are sold on voluntary carbon markets, and farmers receive direct payments per tonne of CO₂ removed.
02
Yes, all InSoil carbon projects follow the latest VM0042 methodology from Verra—one of the world’s most trusted carbon standards. Carbon removals are scientifically measured, third-party verified, and meet global criteria for transparency, permanence, and traceability.
